    "Established in 1912 in Calcutta by the then Railway Board to cater to the needs of the Indian Railways, NTH was set upto check the suitability of indigenously manufactured stores, which areused by Indian Railways, and also to stipulate the quality requirements of Railways. NTH is the largest multi-location, multi-disciplinary industrial testing laboratory and has been extensively providing its services and expertise since the last eight decades. Its services are available in Calcutta, Mumbai, Madras, Ghaziabad, Jaipur and Guwahati. It provides services in testing and evaluation of materials, products, equipments, modules, systems and sub-systemsand practically all branches of science and technology.Calibration in the field of electrical and non-electrical measurement against appropriate Reference Standards and traceability to National Standards. Inorder to increase customer satisfaction, NTH also provides On-site testing and calibration services too."
