    Established in the year 1954, to serve the ever-growing needs and requirements of Indian Defence service in the field of electronics. Over the years, BEL has earned a reputation for itself by manufacturing and providing state-of-the-art products that find their primary use in the fields of defence electronics. In order to provide better and accurate services, BEL has introduced the test equipment and automation calibration laboratory where each electrical instrument or equipment is thoroughly calibrated before putting it into actual use. They also have various multi-dimensional profile measurement machines, automatic testing machines, and environmental labs, that help them in rendering the best quality services. They offer various electro-technical calibration services like power sources, frequency sources, inductance, capacitance, DC/AC voltage and current, etc. From the year 1993 onwards, all the head and sub-head units of BEL have been ISO 9001 quality management systems and ISO14001 for the environment management systems. The calibration facility for electronic test instruments at BEL, has been certified as per ISO 17025 standard by NABL.
