    About Building Fire Research Centre, The National Institute of Engineering

    Building Fire Research Centre established in the year 2004, is dedicated to improve the fire safety measures in the country. For that it has established a testing facility in the Mysore, Karnataka with state of the art modern technological developments. The facility has been endowed with instruments to undertake mechanical tests of materials like different types of fire extinguishers, cement, aggregates, concrete and concrete mix. The research centre has effectively countered the problems associated with fire safety to a great extent through its superlative services. The services provided by the testing facility is one of the great factors that has contributed to achieve that.
