    About Central Drugs Laboratory, Kolkata

    Central Drugs Authority discharges functions under its seven laboratory centers. One of the centre is in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh. Its main functions encircles around the regulation and control over the import of drugs, approval of new drugs and clinical trials, approval of certain licenses and meetings between different Drugs’ committees. To enable the aforesaid services, the laboratory conducts biological testing on varied drugs and pharmaceuticals, several vaccines and anti-toxins. They reinvigorate new policy initiatives, synthesis of new and traditional drugs and a keep a memorandum of their export market. While concentrating on this, they illustrated miscellaneous acts and regulations for establishing decorum in their prospect.
