    About Central Drugs Testing Laboratory

    Accredited from National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) this testing laboratory is headquartered in New Delhi. It has functions like collection, storage and distribution of International Standard International Reference Preparations of Drug and Pharmaceutical Substances. It involves preparation of National Reference Standards and maintenance of such Standards. It maintains microbial cultures useful in drug analysis Distribution of Standards and cultures to State Quality Control Laboratories and drug manufacturing establishments. It also trains drug analyst as deputed by State Drug Control Laboratories and other Institutions with the training of World Health Organization Fellows from abroad on modern methods of Drug Analysis, It acts like an advisory to the Central Drug Control Administration in respect of quality and toxicity of drug awaiting license.
