    About Central Institute of Road Transport

    Central Institute of Road Transport, established in 1967 which offers development programmes covering general management, transport operations and maintenance engineering has set up a lab to conducts engineering testing facilities in order to ensure quality of products. The lab is located in Pune, Maharashtra. The lab conducts mechanical testing on materials like Rubber & Plastic Products, Pneumatic Tyres, Passenger Car, Safety Glass, Tube Valve, Tyre Tube etc. which undergo tests like Tension Set, Adhesion Test, Bursting Test, Density, Specific Gravity, Fragmentation Test, Visual Light Transmission, Head Form Impact Test and many more. The lab also conducts chemical testing on materials like Rubber & Rubber Products, Tube Valve etc. which undergo tests like Type of Material, Rubber content, Carbon Black, Ash content, Volume Change, Mass change and many more. The lab is well-equipped with trained professionals.
