    About Centre for Analysis and Learning in Livestock and Food

    NDDB is the national centre serving the needs of farmers throughout the country. It was found in the year 1965 to empower the farmers. The research board in this sector is responsible for checking the qualities of various pesticides, chemical, livestock feed etc., mainly before it is input to the farm and later tests the quality of produce ranging from dairy to crops to determine its suitability for consumption. The tests mainly performed are on dairy and food products. The tests on dairy products check the levels of various organic and inorganic compounds, pH, density, and protein and carbohydrate contents and explores further usages possible for processed milk and other dairy related products. Other tests on food items determine nutritional value, chemical contents, self-life, etc. It caters to the needs of the nation as a whole.
