Formed in the year 2000, Continental Carbon India Limited is renowned producer and manufacturer of Carbon black. For the manufacturing of Carbon Black, a 15 MW waste Heat recovery plant along with a co-located manufacturing unit was set up at Uttar Pradesh. The primary use of Carbon Black is in reinforcing filler in rubber compounding, which leads to the production of products like tires, profiles, hoses, and V-belts, which are an essential part of the automotive industry. Continental Carbon India Limited believes in the use of leading edge and environmentally friendly manufacturing techniques. With the help of its well-equipped laboratory with state-of-the-art machinery, Continental Carbon India Limited specifically categorizes each carbon black grade. The various types of tests performed are measurement of surface area of carbon black by iodine absorption method, structural anisometry of carbon black grades by absorptiometric, determination of tint strength of carbon black by tint testing apparatus, checking the hardness of carbon black pellets, determination of rubber properties of carbon black grades, checking the curing characteristics, and much more. The Continental Carbon India Limited laboratory is NABL IOS/IEC 17025:2005 accredited.
