It also provides the service of sample pick up. It assists in the testing of ambient air and stack emission to determine chemical levels, pH and chemical testing of sludge, effluents, surface as well as ground water and soil and strives to solve problems associated abiding by the clearance regulations stated by ministry of environment and forests. On food materials the conducted tests determine moisture, fibre, protein, gluten, acidity and sugar content. Tests performed on petroleum products determine flash point, viscosity index and ash content. Tests on building materials such as cement and metal alloys determine chemical and residue content, ignition loss etc.
