    About Mechanical Laboratory Quality Control Section, Engine Factory

    Mechanical laboratory functions under the aegis of the Ordnance factory Board, in the Ministry of Defense. The laboratory is located in the Avadi, Chennai in the Engine Factory, where the engines required for various purposes by the defense sector are manufactured. The products being supplied to the sector must conform to some pre-determined regulatory standard, since the functions they are responsible are critical for the country’s safety. Therefore, the testing laboratory established ensures the engines produce are of superior quality through their state of the art advanced machineries and instruments which undertake mechanical tests. The tests assures that the quality they exhibit are durable and have the ability to stand the test of time. An agile and qualified workforce has been recruited to support the technological developments.
