    About Military Explosives Laboratory, SQAE (A)

    Senior Quality Assurance Establishment (Armaments) comes under the Directorate General Quality Assurance, Department of Defence Production authorized for the production of military armamnets and explosives. The Military Explosives Laboratory at SQAE (A) is a laboratory that deals with the testing of explosive chemicals and allied materials. The lab excels at the testing of exposives and pyrotechnics for the military use. It provides testing for the content of Lead Styphnate, Lead Azide, Azide and Fulminate. The laboratory is also well equipped for the measurement of volatile matter, moisture content and ash content in booster cup composition and SCCC. Lead styphnate, dextrinated lead azide, pure lead azide, basic lead azide and mercury fulminate are some of the products being tested in the laboratory. This laboratory is situated in Orissa.
