Tata Power, India's biggest integrated power company, has always been a leader in ensuring its employees ' security norms and quality services for all its stakeholders. In recognition of its excellence in service, Maithon Power Plant's Chemical Laboratory, the 74:26 joint venture between the company and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), has been awarded NABL Chemical Test accreditation under Certificate No. T-4038.
By 24 July 2012, MPL announced with U#2 COD the business activities of all Maithon Right Bank Power Project 2X525MW sized units. On September 01, 2011, Unit 1 was commissioned, Unit 2 was commissioned on July 24, 2012.
India's first TATA Power public-private partnership: Maithon's DVC 74:26 is dedicated to delivering quality power at the highest competitive cost. It's the Maithon site's zero discharge plant. This Maithon system began the first Tata power 400kv switch-yard. It has launched numerous sustainability projects. Maithon's site has attained the Maximum Employee Engagement Index in Tata Power, 4.52, based on the latest Gallup survey. They are primarily aimed at providing Tata Power's staff with safe and secure working environment. They are also open to setting benchmark for breakthrough improvements in relation to incremental process changes in their procedures. In addition, they concentrate strongly on enhancing r plant's reliability to satisfy and exceed client expectations and attain client pleasure.
