    Established in 1964, Nanji Kalabhai Patel & Co. is a service provider, well known for its services in the field of geotechnical consultancy, civil engineering consultancy through laboratory testing of the geochemical elements. It provides chemical tests for the quality of construction water including its pH test and sulphates test. Besides, it also provides mechanical tests to check for the mechanical properties of various building materials and varied types of soil and rocks. Some of the tests conducted in this laboratory are to check the tensile strength, rebend test of reinforcement steel and grain size, liquid limit, plastic limit, light compaction, heavy compaction and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) of the soil samples. Apart from this wide range of tests, the laboratory also conducts tests that specifically characterize different building materials. It includes the Compressive Strength Test for cement, Penetration Test for bitumen, Slump Test for concrete, Efflorescence Test for Brick and many other such tests.
