About National Centre for Compositional Characterization of Materials (CCCM)

National Centre for Compositional Characterization of Materials is an entity set up by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) under Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) as a premier institution for analytical chemistry to cater to the growing demand of material characterization with respect to its composition in the country. The entity provides Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metallurgical testing, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Water testing, Soil and Sediments analysis, Petrochemical and Fertilizer testing and Geological Testing. The center is equipped with state of the art facilities and has highly qualified and experienced scientists and support staff. The laboratory became fully functional in 1997 and since then has been offering analytical services besides having a strong presence in R&D. The facilities available are divided into Bulk Analytical Laboratory, Surface and Profile Measurement Laboratory and Ultra Trace Analysis Laboratory to provide analytical solutions to a wide range of problems.
