    About Pesticide Residue Laboratory, All India Network Project on Pesticide Residues, Department of Entomology

    Dr Y S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry in Nauni, Solan is renowned to provide education in agricultural sciences and carry out research in the field. It takes care of the human resource development in these applied research fields. In its Department of Entomology, research is conducted on the insects affecting the agricultural fields. To check for the pesticide residues in water and food products, a Pesticide Residue Laboratory was established in the Department of Entomology, Dr Y S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry. It provides reliable testing of organophsphates in fruits like apple, banana, pear, peach, guava, pineapple, litchi, plum and vegetable like brinjal, bitter gourd, cucmber, tomato and okra.
