    About Pesticide Residue Laboratory, Department of Entomology, Hisar

    Pesticide Residue Laboratory functions under the Department of Entomology, College of Agriculture, Hissar. The areas of priority include the strengthening of research on bio-intensive and ecology based integrated pest management, identification of native and wild insect pollinators and their domiciliation and standardization of analytical techniques for pesticide residue elimination in environmental components. The laboratory is involved in various research projects of eminence like - Management of harmful and beneficial insects for sustainable agriculture in Haryana. ICAR funded Centre for Advanced Faculty Training to train scientists from SAUs and ICAR. All India Coordinated Research Project on Honey Bees and Pollinators. All India Network Project on Pesticide Residues. Morphometry and Phylogeography of Honey Bees and Stingless Bees in India The laboratory is ISO 17025 accrediated in the field of Chemical Testing.
