    About Pesticide Toxicology Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Entomology, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University,

    Pesticide Toxicology Laboratory is functioning under the department of agricultural entomology. Department of agricultural entomology has been divided in to 8 disciplines and has established numerous facilities for that. One facility belongs to the discipline of pesticide toxicology and residue analysis. This facility is situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It undertakes testing of fruits, vegetables, fish, black tea and spices, to estimate and control the level of pesticide residue present in them. This facility is equipped with state of the art technologies to carry out chemical tests to estimate the level of pesticides like organochloride, organophosphate and synthetic pyrethroids present in agricultural and related items. Its aim is to monitor and reduce the amount of harmful chemicals in the agricultural and related produce.
