    About PGVCL Meter Hi-Tech Laboratory, Gujarat

    PGVCL Hi-Tech Meter Testing Laboratory was commissioned on 10th July, 2015, at Bhavnagar, Gujarat by PGVCL with the intent of carrying out electrical meter testing. PGVCL is a leading electricity distributor in western Gujarat. The hi-tech laboratory is a 11KV CTPT testing unit and plays an important part in the energy metering system for consumers. High revenue is generated by this unit. Repaired and new 11KV CTPT units are tested as per relevant standards. Various new technologies have been implemented like distribution of energy through the use of multi crystalline Solar Photovoltaic modules, use of variable frequency drives for solar pumps in off-grid conditions to increase the output of the water pumping, various types of earthing technologies and voltage sensing testing technology for live parts. The hi-tech meter testing lab is ISO 17025 accrediated in the field of electrical testing. .
