    Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology affiliated to the Department of Chemical & Petrochemicals of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India was established in 1968 in Karnataka. It aims at the sustainable growth by its contribution in the field of polymer science and technology. Its Plastic Testing Centre provides the facility to test plastics and plastic products. The laboratory at this plastics testing centre supports mechanical characterization of plastic materials and products, thermoplastic resin, films, HDPE pipe, plastic materials, storage containers, lateral products, irrigation laterals, PVC pipes casting pipes and other soft plastic products.
