    About Production Environmental Test Facility (PETF), Entest, Research Centre Imarat (RCI), DRDO

    Research Centre Imarat (RCI) of DRDO was set up on 27th August 1988 as a premier R&D organization in the country. It is considered as the “avionic hub” of the DRDO. One of the major infrastructure facility provided by RCI is the Production Environmental Test Facility. It provides environmental test facility of the aviation systems. Missile sub systems and other electro mechanical systems are tested in this laboratory. They are tested for the vibrations (sine, random, sine on random, random on random) time waveform replication, shock, bump, acceleration, temperature, altitude, humidity and environmental stress screening. Testing of the missiles always remain a major area of concern of the Defence Research and Development Organization of India.
