The two mines of Bauxite are located on a higher plateau; the region is flat and surrounded by soil and laterite rocks. The Bauxite ore is available as a 1.5 m thick pocket deposit and usually less than 3-5 m from the surface level.
In the year 2003, Chotia Coal Mine was initially assigned to the company M / s Prakash Industries Limited (PIL) in the Hasdeo Arand coalfield in the state of Chhattisgarh.
