About State Level Public Health Engineering Department Laboratory
The PHED is committed to supplying every citizen of the state with drinking water. Despite
being the country's largest (area) state, Rajasthan has limited resources of water. Erratic
rainfall, water depletion, and large livestock make it even more challenging to supply
drinking water. PHED's job is even tougher not only because of the volume, but also the
value of the available water (fluoride, salinity, etc.). PHED does not leave any stone
unturned to fulfill its commitment amid all these hurdles.
In the remote parts of Rajasthan, PHED provides safe water throughout its state-of-the-art
office network Reverse osmosis, defluoridation, SCADA, IT and Solar energy technology.
PHED shifts gradually from groundwater to water-based systems based on surface water
sources. It continues to combat the problem of water quality and renders drinking water
safe. As water is a very valuable resource, PHED will surely be benefited by your
commitment to its judicious usage.
