    Founder J.N. TATA, TATA Steel group was established in 1907 as Asia’s first integrated steel company, excelling in producing crude steel with mines and collieries providing raw materials, proper execution of plant facilities, etc. The laboratory in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand monitors to access the socio-economic infrastructure at a large scale. This lab specializes in mechanical testing in its Metallography and Physical departments. While in the Metallography department, the materials subjected to mechanical tests are Steel, aluminum and copper alloys and cast iron. On the other hand, Physical department deals with the mechanical properties of materials. TATA has been establishing its agenda with infinite boundaries in its operations whether its skill, innovation, investment or transparency. It stands at the top ten position among global steel companies and world’s second most geographically-diversified with respect to capacity and production of steel. Not only in India, it has manufacturing operations going on in Europe, U.K., France, Germany, etc.
