Testing Research Engineering and Technological Services was established in Kolkata in the year 1986. It is a modern metallurgical testing, inspection, and development center that performs testing and inspection of various types of metallurgical raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products. Apart from this, they also offer investigation, failure analysis, and quality system counseling for various metallurgical or engineering industries. They offer a wide range of tests for metals and alloys like chemical analysis of metals and alloys, mechanical testing of metals and alloys, metallography testing, in-site metallography testing, non-destructive testing, welding procedure qualification testing, determining oxygen in copper, salt spray test, and determining intergranular corrosion. They offer the chemical analysis by both wet method and spectrometer. They also offer various types of water testing. Their laboratory is according to the NABL guidelines and has received ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and EN 45001 accreditation.
