    About Transformer Oil Testing Laboratory Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd., Gujarat

    It is a Bangalore, Karnataka based test facility, undertaking of Transgear Ltd., contributing to testing of transformer oil, petrochemicals and similar oil based products. The facility were set up first in the year 2003 for full-fledged operation. The tests are performed to check on parameters like interfacial tension, flash point, neutralization value, BDV, resistivity, moisture content, dielectric dissipation, sludge content and dissolved gas analysis. Thermography techniques are applied in test fields like condition monitoring, research and development, process control and non-destructive testing, etc. Energy auditing is another major service aspect of the facilities. Transformer testing include oil analysis, fault diagnosis, consultancy for setting-up transformer industry, major repairs including replacement of windings, etc. The client base includes organisations like PGCIL, NALCO, Nuclear Power Corporation, Essar Steel, Karnataka state electricity board, Damodar Valley Corp, etc.
